Dominian Affairs: The Boardroom

The boardroom was pristine—glass walls, polished wood table, subtle lighting. A screen dominated one end, ready for presentations. A fresh pot of coffee steamed at the side.

Tyrone stood near the door, dressed immaculately in a black suit. Juliette stood nearby—her python-print sheath replaced with a gray skirt suit, professional yet powerful. Daniel paced just inside the room, repeating his notes under his breath. No tie, crisp shirt open at the collar; a visible mark of confidence.

Tyrone stepped to Daniel’s side. His voice was soft:

“Remember: you’re representing not just yourself, but the synergy between us. Be firm. Be clear. And obey.”

Juliette leaned in:

“And if I interject… you pause. Make eye contact with me, then continue.”

Daniel nodded, swallowing. His pulse raced.

“Good,” Tyrone murmured. “Time to begin.”

Entrance of the Clients

Five clients entered: three men, two women, all international partners. They were polished, skeptical.

They seated themselves. Not one casual glance at Daniel.

Tyrone began:

“Thank you for meeting today. We have refined our strategic roadmap for your expansion—supported by the full leadership team.”

He caught Daniel’s eye. Daniel stepped forward—center of the table.

The clients looked surprised—used to pitches from Tyrone and Juliette only. But they fell silent.

Daniel began his presentation:

“Good morning—my name is Daniel Jensen. Over the past quarter, I’ve worked directly with Mr. Dominian and Ms. Vernier to tailor this proposal…”

His voice was steady. Calm. Professional.

Mid-Presentation Shift

At the eight-minute mark, Juliette interjected gently:

“Daniel, can you expand on the localization strategy?”

Daniel paused mid-sentence, turned his head to Juliette, steady eye contact, bowed his head briefly, then continued:

“Yes, ma’am. For localization, we propose a three-tiered approach…”

The clients leaned in. Daniel’s pivot had been graceful.

Tyrone’s hand lightly brushed Daniel’s lower back in validation.

The Test Becomes Intimate

As Daniel walked them through projected market penetration, his confidence grew. But Tyrone and Juliette added silent cues: a foot brushing his leg under the table, an eyebrow raising, a long, lingering glance from Tyrone across the room, a light fingertip on Daniel’s arm from Juliette.

Clients noticed. Some exchanged glances. Egos shifted.

At one point, Juliette whispered, just loud enough for Daniel:

“I like your tone.”

Daniel’s pulse fluttered—yet his voice stayed strong.

“Thank you, ma’am.”

A Client Challenge

One client, a straight–laced gentleman, raised his hand.

“Your model is innovative…but who is taking accountability? Who ensures execution?”

Juliette locked eyes with Daniel. He met Tyrone’s gaze in the back of the room.

“I do,” Daniel answered confidently, “with their leadership and support.”

The response was stronger than any technical slide—personal, owning.

Tyrone nodded from the back.

Steamy Subtext

As Daniel concluded, Juliette stepped forward:

“Tyrone, would you like to summarize?”

But before he could speak, Tyrone took Daniel by the elbow, guiding him to stand shoulder-to-shoulder at the front.

“I’ll speak briefly,” Tyrone said, then turned to Daniel: “You lead while I follow.”

Daniel swallowed hard—but nodded.

Tyrone stood behind him, arms on Daniel’s shoulders—visible dominance during a corporate presentation.

Daniel continued, with Tyrone’s presence behind him, and Juliette seated slightly off to the side—both silent pillars of power and support.

Closure and Aftermath

Tyrone closed:

“This proposal isn’t a test of numbers—it’s a test of synergy. With Daniel at the center, you have the combined leadership of both Veriner and Dominian.”

The clients applauded—genuine, impressed.

As everyone exited, a hush filled the hallway:

“That intern must be… special.”

“He commanded the room.”

Private Celebration

Back in the executive lounge:

Tyrone handed Daniel a whiskey.

“You were impeccable.”

Juliette grinned.

“And that peek under the table—bold.”

Daniel flushed.

“Thank you.”

Juliette took his hand.

“You served me in that moment. You looked at me. You paused for me.”

Tyrone kissed Daniel’s forehead.

“You belonged to both of us. Proud of you.”

They drank to a triumphant end.
