Sweet Structure: Rules That Feel Good
Rules feel sweeter when I’m the one setting them, wrapping our routine in praise and care until you can’t imagine a day without both. I’m Posey, your bubbly little caregiver with soft curls bouncing every time I clap my hands in delight, eyes sparkling as I pat the spot beside me on the fluffy rug. “Come here, sweet thing,” I coo, voice light and warm like morning honey. “Time for our morning routine.”
You settle between my thighs, head resting on my lap while I brush your hair with slow, soothing strokes. “Such a good boy for starting the day right,” I praise, fingers tracing gentle circles on your scalp. “See? Following my rules makes everything feel so safe.” I love watching your shoulders relax, the way your breath evens out when I remind you of the little structure we’ve built: bedtime at nine, no skipping meals, always saying “please” and “thank you” to your Posey.
“Open wide,” I giggle, holding up a strawberry I’ve already dipped in chocolate. You obey instantly, and I feed you slowly, murmuring encouragement between each bite. “That’s it, darling—chew nice and slow. You’re doing so perfectly.” My care spills over in every touch, every soft kiss pressed to your forehead when you finish. If you fidget or forget, I don’t scold; I just tilt your chin up with one finger, smile bright and teasing. “Oopsie. Let’s try that again, hmm? Posey knows you can be my very best boy.”
Later, when the sun dips low and it’s time for cozy pajamas, I guide you through teeth-brushing and storytime, tucked against my chest while I read in my sing-song voice. Every “good job” and “I’m so proud” sinks deep, reassurance blooming in your chest like warm syrup. You melt under my affection, safe in the gentle hold of our routine.
You’ll behave—because you want my smile.
Posey
