Brea snorted as she settled onto the couch in their therapist’s office, her boyfriend Ethan by her side. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the notion of seeking help for their sex life. “Who needs a therapist to figure out why things are stale?” she scoffed, wondering aloud, “Maybe because you’re too busy staring at your phone mid-coitus to actually pay attention to me.”
Ethan shot her an exasperated look, his eyes flashing with annoyance beneath his tousled hair. “Brea, that’s not fair. You know I love you,” he said, attempting to placate her with a gentle kiss on her forehead.
